Ingredients List

Serves 2
  • 3 cups almond milk unsweetened, make sure there is no oil in the recipe
  • 2 teaspoons cacao / cocoa powder high-flavonoid
  • 1 teaspoon liquid sweetener - honey, maple syrup or stevia - you could also use sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Gently heat the almond milk in a saucepan or in the microwave.
  2. Stir a bit of cold milk into 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder per mug until it dissolves into a paste and whichever ingredient you choose to sweeten the drink. This is when you can add cinnamon if you want to.
  3. Whisk to froth up the almond milk and pour into mug. Stir well.

Add cinnamon or vanilla for extra flavour. You can substitute almond milk for your favourite dairy-free milk.
